Lesson - I need replacement parts on hand for the main parts of the generator (carb, gaskets, fuel lines). Don’t risk it, just treat the gas.

That’s Entertainment

As the summer winds down, we are really enjoying the location of the pool, especially as we finish clearing the high brush that was leftover. We have had one get together of around 30 people (20 of whom camped over) and it worked great.

Building a Custom Home Studio Desk - The Design

I started by seeing what was available to buy and quickly found that unless you have a couple of thousand dollars sitting around, a commercial version was out of reach. Though there are some really cool desks out there, I did not have that kind of money to spend (and this being a DIY/maker type blog) it made sense to build my own.

It Begins

So the ocean works pretty well as the cabins we visit do not have any distractions. Just the waves and the sand. Cell phone coverage is spotty, so even texts are questionable. We played board games, took our time making meals, walked the beach, and just.slowed.down.

Spring Has Almost Sprung

The calendar says it is now spring, but here in NW Washington State, that only means it is finally staying light longer. It can still frost for another 3 weeks. But the signs are starting to show. The first dandelions are showing their color, the vegetable starts are getting a few inches tall now, but the real sign that spring is almost here is the first mowing of the year.
